Moto3: Simone Grotzkyj Giorgi joins World Wide Racing

Simone Grotzkyj Giorgi has finally found a ride for the 2012 Moto3 season.
Desite his non sounding Italian surname, Grotzkyj Giorgi hails from the city of Pesaro, right in the heart of that area that has given birth to some of the best Italian riders in the world.

Despite finishing in the 2010 and 2011 125cc championship in 19th and 16th, and the best rider of Italian nationality, had trouble finding the € 250,000 to fund his next ride, but just before the start of the inaugural Moto3 season, found a sponsor (thanks to the appeal by his fans in Facebook and Twitter) and will be returning to Fiorenzo Caponera’s team World Wide Race (now called Ambrose Next Racing).

The 23-year Grotzkyj Giorgi will be fielded next Giulian Pedone and riding an OE-250M3R, (an Oral Engineering engine in an Aprilia RSW 125 chassis) and will be testing at Almeria on March 6th and 7th, followed by another two days of private testing on another track before the official IRTA test.
“Despite a difficult winter, with uncertain prospects, here I am,” said the Italian rider.

“I reached a good agreement with the team and I’d like to thank Fiorenzo.
I am delighted to take back with them, because it means I continue where I left off following my accident at Misano.
I’ve visited Oral and saw the bike and talked about the program which is interesting.
I’m convinced that my experience will be useful in the development work.
The team has started an intense work programme and I can’t wait to start.
I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me.
