Triumph introduced this morning at the Brussels Motor Show the brand new Tiger Sport 1050, the revamped 2013 version of the model featuring new and pretty sporty aesthetics.
The cosmetic renewal of the bike is absolutely evident at both ends of the bike , which is still powered by a three-cylinder unit whose power has been increased by 10 hp, reaching a total output of 125 hp with 104 Nm of peak torque (thanks in most part to the new exhaust and intake system).
Fuel injection has been revised as well, leading to a 7% improvement in terms of mileage.
According to the Hinckley-based manufacturer, the new Tiger Sports comes with a reinforced frame, improved suspension and a completely renovated ABS system, all of which will contribute to the better safety and comfort of the new model.
The new Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport is expected to be agile and exciting on the gravel, but should also be suitable for long trips as well as the city traffic, thanks to the new ergonomics and a commanding riding position (the saddle is narrower and 5mm lower than the outgoing generation).
Other highlights include the single sides swing arm, the new rims, fully adjustable suspension, a new belly pan that comes as standard and four-elements reflector-type headlights.
Panniers got bigger too, and now they can be loaded with 10 kg of stuff each.
The 2013 Tiger Sport will be made available in two color options, Crystal White and Diablo Red (as you can see in our photo gallery), and should hit the showrooms next April.
As for now Triumph did not reveal the price of the model, but updates on the matter should surface in February.
