Marco Simoncelli is testing in Jerez wearing all white helmet, but this AGV red and white helmet will be the one he’ll be using at the opening round of the 250cc championship at Losail, Qatar April 12th.
The 2008 champion has decided to keep his number 58 con his Gilera instead of number 1, just like his close friend and 2008 MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi.

The curly haired Italian rider told the Italian press during the Gilera 2009 team launch that he was very undecided whether to ride with number 1 on his bike’s livery, but when he saw his bike decked out with at Valencia ceremony he felt that something was missing and it seemed that the bike belonged to someone else, so he’s decided to keep his original racing number.

Simoncelli will also be wearing number 1 on his leathers, precisely on the right leg, another likeness to The Doctor who wears number 1 on his right shoulder.
