Qatar Moto2 – Alex De Angelis leads in first free practice

With a 41 rider field, it was former MotoGP rider Alex De Angelis who topped the first ever Moto2 practice session at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.
On a Scot chassis the Sammarinese dominated much of the session hitting the top of time sheets with a best lap of 2.

Second place went to Scott Redding on a Suter chassis, but was 0.

585s off the top spot.

Third went to reigning 125cc world champion Julian Simon his RSV machine, with Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter in fourth on the Technomag-CIP Suter.
Stefan Bradl was fifth and Roberto Rolfo finished in sixth, while Alex Debon on his FTR took seventh and was the last rider within one second of De Angelis.
Karel Abraham, Gabor Talmacsi and Alex Baldolini were 8th, 9th and and Alex Baldolini rounded out the top ten.
