Valentino Rossi Ranked No. 5 as Top Earner

Sports Illustrated has pubblished it’s top earning international list of foreign atheletes and Valentino Rossi is ranked number five out of twenty and is the only motorcycle racer listed.
The Italian rider is tied with F1 driver Fernando Alonso and according to SI, the FIAT Yamaha rider earns a total of $ 35.

Rossi is up two places from last year, but that’s understandable considering that the Italian was involved in a high profile tax evasion probe in 2007.
The revenue agency contested that Rossi did non reside in England, where big named European sportstars are domiciled for tax purposes, but spent most of the year in Italy.

Rossi prefered to settle with the Italian Revenue Agency and paid off 35.
