You’ve already met Roberto Rossi who is not only a Harley–Davidson dealer, but also a customizer that comes from a country who prides itself on its taste, style and above all passion.
Earlier this year, Rossi (no relation to the MotoGP star) presented a modified Harley–Davidson XL1200 Sportster that he dubbed ‘Stellalpina’ (alpine star in Italian or edelweiss) that was made to be ridden in the mountains or as Roberto Rossi put it, “The top of the mountain now is closer”.
To prove that this Sportster- that will see only five units made – has the trekking spirit, had this special short video filmed by Giorgio Oppici in the beautiful Lessin Mountains (just north of Verona) with Wrangler Blu Bell’s creative director Alessandro Viganò as the gentleman rider, continuing their collaboration that saw Rossi prepare a rare 1942 Harley Davidson WR and a XT Interceptor for Wrangler’s 2010 “Kustom Kulture” colllection.
As we previously mentioned the Stellalpina will be made only in 5 units and the cost for each bike will 22,000 euros, but it is an entirely different breed of custom Sportster with its modified frame- shorter and lower – to be make the bike more easy to control as the weight distribution is now more on the rear.
The bike also features a modified Softail rear mudgard with a Lucas taillight, 2 into 2 custom exhaust, a Fatboy front fork, custom handlebar and hand made handlebar controls, a special diamond stitch leather seat and naturally a special paint job with the Stellalpina flower prominently displayed on the black opaque gas tank.
