As we promised here are more pics, this time official, from yesterday’s BMW Motorrad Italia team launch that took place at the Monza race track.
The team will have factory technical support as confirmed by Bernhard Godmayer, Head of BMW Motorrad Motorsport, “Now we can count on two teams, and we want to establish an excellent relationship between them, allowing for a constant exchange of data.
”While former World Superbike Champion James Toseland, who will much need to revive his career after last year’s debacle on the Sterilgarda Yamaha, said about the previous test, “The first outing was useful only as a shakedown, and to understand which setup direction to move in.
”Ayrton Badovini who gave BMW Italia the 2010 Superstock title and is switching back to Superbikes this year after a stint in 2008 said, “I know how important this opportunity is, and I don’t want to waste it.
I have raced in this category before, and I know how much it counts to have a good bike and a good team.
From this point of view I’m very confident.
