After Scott Redding who tested the Ducati GP12 on Tuesday and Wednesday at Mugello, yesterday it was another Ducati hopeful who got the opportunity to test the Italian beast, Andrea Iannone, who seemed very satisfied with bike as he tweeted La Ducati? Una moto che ti proietta in un altra dimensione! (Ducati? A bike that throws you into another dimension!)Iannone rode a few laps last year on Pramac’s 800cc machine at Mugello (in the photo), but yesterday he did a full fledged test and completed 80 laps and reportedly posted a best lap around the 1.

50 mark.
The Italian rider speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport said, “I’m not used to riding so many laps on such a powerful motorcycle, but I’m very happy.
This Ducati has given me so many emotions.
Iannone has an pre-option to ride next season with Ducati’s junior team – if the plan comes to fruition – and the positive feedback that he gave could close the deal.
“It was an important experience, but I can’t do any comparisons.

For me it was the first time with this bike and these tires, I didn’t have and comparison parameters, but in my small way I am happy and satisfied,” continued Iannone who also talked about the good relationship that he established with the test team and Filippo Preziosi.

“I can say that I like this bike and it was great to work with the team, the engineers and the mechanics.
Everyone is very professional and have a wonderful way of working.
Fillippo isn’t only nice he’s also very good.
I want to thank Ducati for this opportunity.
” If Ducati wants to promote a junior team they already have two young, willing and already popular riders ready to take their chance on what is widely considered to be a career buster.
