Rondine Motor Elettra: an Italian electric motorcycle on display in Finland

An interesting Italian electric motorcycle is currently on display in Helsinki at the Musiikkitalo Auditorium, which is hosting the “EcoSolutions – The Design of Everyday” exposition from June 5 to July 2, 2012.
The model is called Rondine Motor Elettra and is part of the “Farnesina Design Collection” which is being displayed in Helsinki along with very important pieces of work created by some household names in the business such as Ad Hoc, IFI, iGuzzini Loccioni, LumineXence, Metalco, Pininfarina, Italian Stone.

Helsinki has been named the 2012 design capital of the world – the year when the city will also celebrate 200 years as the capital of Finland – and the Electra is the only motorcycle there to represent the Italian design industry.

As the name would suggest, the exhibition is centered on the growing need of environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions, and the features of this motorcycle just makes perfectly fit for the purpose: the Rondine Motor Elettra is a pure electric concept bike which was firstly introduced at the Ara Pacis in Rome, where he was appreciated as a proper example of innovative and unique electric bike.

Rondine Motor is a dynamic company operating in the Italian region called Lazio, a company that has made of ​​research and innovation its own philosophy.
The concept presented in Helsinki was designed by Marco Nuccitelli, who took care of the whole thing style- and engineering-wise, and is bound to hit production pretty soon.
