Ana Carrasco will become the first female to compete in Moto3 next season.
The Spanish teenager – she’ll turn 16 next March – got her debut with JHK T-shirt Laglisse team yesterday at the Almeria circuit where she tested alongside the team’s new acquistion Maverick Vinales.
Carrasco was already a rider for LaGlisse team, but in the CEV Buckler Moto3 championship riding a Honda NSF250R Moto3, but yesterday she got her first taste of a KTM RC250R production racer – not the factory bike that Vinales has – and did fifty laps posting a best time of 1′43.
4, while Vinales in his second day of the test posted his best lap in 1′39.

Elena Rosell was only female racing full-time this season in Moto2 for QMMF Racing, but she is going to be replaced in 2013 by a yet to be announced Indonesian rider.
