Grieving in Parma today, after the death yesterday evening of former motorcycle champion Baldassarre Monti.
In a head collision at about 6:30pm Monti lost his life while returning home on his scooter.
Monti was forced to interrupt his career after a serious accident in 1994, though he was known for his passion for motorcycles, with plenty of track records and world and superbike championship wins.

Known as “Sarre” to friends, Monti leaves behind his family – mother Irma and brother Paolo.
