This year Aaron Yates won the team’s first championship in its five year history, in the AMA Superstock class, with teammate Geoff May finishing in second place.
Both riding Suzuki GSXR-1000 motorcycles.
After reaching these thrilling results, Michael Jordan Motorsports has now announced that it will partner with the Army National Guard to field in 2009 a 2nd Superbike team in AMA.
The partnership was announced Friday, October 9, 2008 at the Caribe Royale Orlando Resort in front of over 2000 National Guard troops.
