Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo will interrupt their summer vacations to test a Brno on tomorrow and Wednesday, as will Randy de Puniet who will be giving the Suzuki GP machine another test after the ones carried out on the circuits of Catalunya and Aragon, last June.
For Lorenzo this test will also see how his collarbone recovery is going a little more than three weeks after undergoing a second surgery and racing at Laguna Seca less than week later, while Rossi will continue looking for the perfect bike set-up.
The test could also finally see the debut of Yamaha’s seamless transmission, that has been in development in Japan, and talked about since the start of the 2013 season.
Randy de Puniet will also cut short his vacation time to test the Suzuki again – the Hamamatsu manufacturer is expected to return to MotoGP in 2015 – and he will be helped by Nobuatsu Aoki, who has followed the development of the bike since its inception.
Davide Brivio, Team Manager of Suzuki, speaking to the official website said, “We will continue working with the data we collected at the previous tests of Motegi (in May), Barcelona and Aragon.
The development has not stopped and this week we are going to try out various setups and continue to work on the electronics, chassis and engine packages in order to find further improvements in performance.
”He also added that Suzuki has yet to use the spec Magneti Marelli ECU that will compulsory next season and they are still using the Mitsubishi one.
Casey Stoner will be returning to Motegi for his first test for HRC and he’ll be testing the 2014 version of the prototype, but also the production racer that Honda will be selling to teams next year.
Besides being at Brno with their factory riders, Yamaha will also be at Motegi with test riders Katsuyuki Nakasuga and Wataru Yoshikawa.
