One of the highlights of the village is the ice rink located outside Marischal College. This popular attraction invites families to lace up their skates and glide across the ice, creating lasting memories during the festive season.

Culinary Delights

No festive celebration is complete without delicious food, and Aberdeen’s Christmas Village does not disappoint. Visitors can indulge in a variety of culinary delights from local vendors. Enjoy German bratwursts from the Swing Grill, sip on cocktails from Ten Dollar Shake, or sample local craft beer from Fierce. New food options this year include We Love Crumble and Tucan, alongside established favorites like Big Manny’s Pizza and Hot Chip.

Special Offers and Transportation Changes

To enhance the experience, the Christmas Village offers an off-peak skating session from 12 PM to 6 PM, Monday to Thursday (excluding school holidays) at just £5 per person for 20 minutes, including skate hire. At all other times, the session price is £8 per person.

Due to the village’s location, some traffic diversions have been implemented. Upperkirkgate is closed, requiring traffic from Gallowgate and Flourmill Lane to take alternative routes. Additionally, bus routes have been adjusted, with the 19 Service to Tillydrone rerouted to accommodate the changes.

Supporting Local Producers

The Christmas Village not only provides festive fun but also supports local producers from across the north-east. The market will run for six consecutive weekends from November 15 to December 22, allowing visitors to explore a variety of stalls and discover unique local products.

With its enchanting atmosphere, exciting attractions, and delicious food offerings, Aberdeen’s Christmas Village is set to be a highlight of the holiday season. Don’t miss the chance to experience the magic and joy that this festive event brings to the city.
