Peter Kay, the iconic British comedian, is set to return to Aberdeen for his highly anticipated comedy tour in 2025. This marks a significant moment for fans, as it will be Kay’s first performance in the Granite City since his memorable show at the Aberdeen Music Hall back in 2002. The comedian will take the stage at P&J Live on May 30 and 31, 2025, bringing his unique brand of humor to a new generation of fans.
The announcement of additional tour dates was made during the premiere of the latest season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, featuring a humorous advertisement where Peter is seen carrying a gold toilet to his mother’s iconic bungalow. In total, 21 new dates have been added to his tour, which is expected to run into 2026. Alongside Aberdeen, Kay will also perform in major cities such as Glasgow, London, Manchester, and Leeds, with ticket prices starting at an accessible £35.
In a heartfelt statement, Peter Kay expressed his joy in returning to stand-up comedy, stating, “It’s been wonderful doing what I love most, stand-up comedy. Laughter is more important than ever in these challenging times and with the cost of living still at an all-time high, ticket prices for the new dates will start from £35.” This commitment to affordability reflects Kay’s understanding of the current economic climate, making his shows accessible to a wider audience.
Rob Wicks, Managing Director of P&J Live, shared his enthusiasm about hosting Peter Kay’s performances, saying, “We are absolutely delighted to land two 2025 dates of Peter Kay’s live tour here in Aberdeen after a phenomenally successful run of shows across the UK over the past two years.” Wicks emphasized that this is a unique opportunity for local fans to see Kay perform live after a long absence, and he is confident that Aberdeen will provide the warm welcome the comedian deserves as he steps back onto the stage.
Tickets for both Aberdeen dates will go on sale on Saturday, November 23, and are expected to sell out quickly, given Kay’s immense popularity and the excitement surrounding his return. Fans are encouraged to act fast to secure their seats for what promises to be a memorable night of laughter and entertainment.
