Ashleigh’s mother, Alison Watson, expressed her heartbreak, describing her daughter as a “ray of sunshine” who brought joy to everyone around her. “She lit up the room when she came in,” Alison shared, highlighting Ashleigh’s infectious spirit and her role as a devoted mother to her sons, Jayden and Liam.

The police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash, which involved a Citroen DS3 at approximately AM on December 20. A 35-year-old man who was also in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized. Sergeant Neil MacDonald stated, “Our thoughts remain with Ashleigh’s family and friends at this difficult time. Our investigation into the circumstances is ongoing, and I urge anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information to contact us.”

As the community comes together to support Ashleigh’s family, they are reminded of the impact she had on their lives. Alison reflected on their cherished Christmas traditions, saying, “Every year for the past 31 years, Ashleigh has been with me at Christmas. We would always have Christmas together.” The family is determined to honor Ashleigh’s memory as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
