Authorities on the Isle of Mull are urgently requesting the public’s help in finding Claire Halliday, a 35-year-old woman who has been reported missing. Claire was last seen around 4 PM on Tuesday in the Fionnphort area, and her family has not heard from her in the three days since her disappearance.

Details of the missing person

Claire Halliday is believed to be living in a Ford Transit campervan, which has the registration number WN52 AZP. She is described as approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a slim build and shoulder-length brown hair.

Claire speaks with an English accent and has distinctive tattoos: a pink and turquoise eye tattoo on the back of her neck and a butterfly tattoo at the base of her spine.

Last seen and clothing description

When she was last seen, Claire was wearing a white jacket with a cream-colored hood or hat, along with white trousers. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance have raised significant concern among local authorities, prompting them to intensify their search efforts in the Fionnphort area.

Authorities’ appeal for information

Inspector Karen MacLennan expressed the growing concern for Claire’s welfare, stating, “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Claire’s welfare and are keen to trace her as soon as possible.” The police are conducting thorough searches and are appealing to anyone who may have seen Claire or has any information regarding her whereabouts to come forward.

In a heartfelt message, Inspector MacLennan also reached out directly to Claire, urging her to let authorities know she is safe if she sees the appeal. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Police Scotland at 101, quoting incident number 1999 from January 9.
