Emma expressed her relief, stating, “It was great knowing that six months of phone calls, emails, and negotiations had finally got there in the end.” However, her journey was not yet over. Upon receiving permission, she encountered yet another hurdle: concrete boulders blocking the entrance to her site, which delayed her opening.
Establishing Hangry Hazel’s
Despite the obstacles, Emma’s passion for catering, which began in her teenage years, fueled her determination to succeed. She and her business partner named their food truck in honor of Emma’s grandmother, who inspired her entrepreneurial spirit. Now operational, Hangry Hazel’s has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the community, including visits from Aberdeen FC staff and local golfers. Emma reflects on her journey, stating, “We have had such a positive reaction since we arrived. The support has been overwhelming.”
