Transforming Elgin: New Office Building Plans

Moray Council is set to invest in the transformation of a single-storey office building located at 8 Victoria Crescent in Elgin. The local authority plans to allocate £10,000 for renovations aimed at converting the existing day centre into modern office spaces.

Currently, the council rents the property for £23,300 annually under an internal repairing and insuring lease. This initiative reflects the council’s commitment to enhancing local infrastructure and providing suitable work environments for its staff.

Greencraig Farm’s Exciting New Cafe and Play Zone

In a bid to expand recreational offerings in the Buckie area, Greencraig Farm is undergoing a significant transformation. The farm, which already features luxury camping pods and caravan pitches, has received planning permission to convert its steadings into a vibrant cafe and play zone. This £50,000 project aims to cater to families seeking food and entertainment options. The details of the food offerings are yet to be disclosed, but the initiative is expected to enhance the existing tourist facilities, which have proven popular since their inception.

Expansion Plans for Regency Elgin Car Dealership

Regency Elgin, a prominent car dealership located at 3 Linkwood Place, is set to undergo a major expansion. The dealership, owned by Charles Milne, has received approval to construct a new showroom, complete with offices and a valet bay. This development will occupy a corner of the existing car park and will feature space for six vehicles along with a reception area. Additionally, an extension will be added to accommodate the new electric car brand, LeapMotor. With an investment of £3.19 million, Regency aims to enhance its facilities in both Elgin and Buckie, ensuring a first-class customer experience in the evolving automotive landscape.

Royal Mail’s Essential Repairs to Elgin Delivery Office

Royal Mail is also making headlines with plans to repair the RAAC roofing at its Elgin delivery office located at 250 High Street. The estimated cost for these repairs is around £225,000. Interestingly, the first floor of the building currently has vacant offices available for rent. This site was previously considered by council officials as a potential new location for the bus station, but those plans have since been abandoned. The necessary repairs will ensure the delivery office remains operational and continues to serve the community effectively.
