Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame, a popular resort located near Embo, is set to welcome two new food vendors this week, following the approval of plans by the Highland Council. This development is part of Parkdean Resorts’ ongoing commitment to enhance the guest experience at this unique destination.

Introducing Scoops and Joe’s American Grill

The new additions, Scoops, an ice cream vendor, and Joe’s American Grill, will officially open their doors on Friday, just in time for the bustling summer season. These establishments aim to provide a diverse range of culinary options for guests, further enriching the resort’s offerings.

With the expansion of outdoor seating, visitors will have more opportunities to enjoy their meals while soaking in the beautiful surroundings of Embo beach.

Investment in the future of Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame

Parkdean Resorts has invested several hundreds of thousands of pounds into these developments, demonstrating their dedication to improving the facilities at Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame. Niall Hassard, a representative from Parkdean, emphasized the importance of this investment, stating that it would significantly upgrade the park’s already fantastic amenities. With a total of 433 pitches available, including static caravans and spaces for tents, the resort continues to attract a diverse range of visitors.

Balancing outdoor enjoyment with community concerns

While the new food vendors are a welcome addition, the council’s discussions also highlighted concerns regarding noise levels, particularly with the proposed extension of outdoor drinking hours. A new 10pm curfew was suggested to mitigate potential disturbances, but many councillors argued that this could hinder the holiday experience for guests. Councillor Drew Millar pointed out that 10pm is quite early for holidaymakers who wish to enjoy the scenic views and pleasant weather.

Ultimately, the council decided to maintain the resort’s current closing time of 1am for outdoor drinking, allowing guests to enjoy their evenings without interruption. This decision reflects a commitment to both enhancing the guest experience and addressing community concerns.

Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame: A unique destination

Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame is not just a resort; it is a destination that offers a unique blend of relaxation and adventure. With over 80 staff members employed during peak summer hours, the resort is well-equipped to cater to the needs of its guests. The addition of Scoops and Joe’s American Grill is expected to further elevate the experience for visitors, making it a must-visit location in Sutherland.

As the summer season approaches, the excitement surrounding these new food vendors is palpable. Guests can look forward to enjoying delicious meals and refreshing treats while creating unforgettable memories at Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame.
