Lawson, representing the Compass Group UK & Ireland, impressed the judges with her innovative dishes and exceptional presentation, ultimately securing the coveted ‘best in show’ title.

In addition to her top honor, Lawson also received a gold award and best in class for her main course plates, along with two silver awards and a best in class for her dessert plates. She also earned a bronze medal for her afternoon tea presentation. These accolades not only highlight her talent but also reflect her dedication to the culinary arts.

Lawson, who is currently an apprentice and Commis Chef at ESS Energy in Aberdeen, expressed her pride in returning home victorious. She stated, “This has been a really great opportunity to compete, learn, and develop my skills. I loved taking part, and it was a brilliant environment attending the competition with everyone. I am really proud to come home with these medals.” Her journey began at the young age of 15 when she worked at the Royal Ascot after winning the Springboard FutureChef contest.
