At Easter2020, the hours of the major supermarkets in the UK may vary in different ways due to the Covid pandemic.
April 12 is a date of Easter 2020. On Good Friday, several supermarkets will open as usual to enable shoppers to pick up the necessities. Although all major supermarkets will be open, they will be trading at reduced opening hours, also during this lockdown period due to the Covid pandemic.

The opening hours of major supermarkets at Easter
Tesco
Extra, Metro and Superstores will be opening from 8 am to 8 pm on Good Friday, and from 6 am to 10 pm on Easter Saturday.
But Metro and Superstores will be closed in England, Wales and Northern Ireland on Easter Sunday. However, all Tesco stores will be open from 8 am to 8 pm on Easter Sunday in Scotland. On Easter Monday, Metro, Extra and Superstores will open from 8 am to 6 pm in England and Wales. Tesco Express will be open as usual from 7 am to 10 pm, after cutting back one hour from their usual closing time of 11 pm before Covid-19. Asda
The majority of Asda stores will be open as usual on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday. Shops will be open from 8 am to 8 pm on these days but will be closed on Easter Sunday.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s superstores will be open from 8 am to 9 pm on Good Friday, and smaller supermarkets will be open from 8 am to 8 pm. Shops will be closed on Easter Sunday and open from 8 am to 8 pm on Easter Monday. Sainsbury’s Locals will also be open during their normal hours of 7 am to 9 pm.
Morrisons
Morrisons’ opening hours are currently going from 8 am to 8 pm from Monday to Saturdays, and some stores are closed on Sundays. The supermarket has advised shoppers to check their website for Easter opening times at their local store.
Aldi
Aldi stores are open from 8 am to 8 pm from Monday to Saturday and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. In Scotland, shops are open from 8 am to 6 pm on Sundays. The stores will be open from 8 am to 8 pm on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and will be closed on Easter Sunday. In Scotland, stores are open from 9 am to 8 pm on Easter Sunday. Then Aldi will be opening their doors to elderly and vulnerable customers thirty minutes early on Monday to Saturday, including this Easter weekend.
Lidl
Lidl will be open as usual on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday from 8 am to 8 pm in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Stores will be closed on Easter Sunday. However, stores are open as normal throughout the weekend, including Easter Sunday in Scotland.
