Connect your computer to the internet and go onto the eBay site, logging into your personal account. If you do not have an account, registration is very simple.

Click on the "sell" tab, and then go to "browse categories".
2. Starting selling
Enter a quick description (such as DVD title) into the box at the top of the page. If it is a popular item the item information will be filled in automatically.

Alternatively scroll through the list of categories available, selecting which one best describes the item for sale. Once selected click "continue".
3. Product information
Enter the brand name of the item Due to eBay‘s expansion, there is a huge amount of information, including stock photographs. The ‘create your listing page’ includes all the information required about the product including specifications, modifications and product descriptions. Photographs can be uploaded here by clicking on the appropriate icon. Some of the information required, especially for vehicles and computers, is quite complex so the manual for the item will be useful.
4. Selling
Towards to bottom of the listing creation page are the selling options. Enter a starting price and/or a buy it now price. The duration of the auction can also be set. Further down is the postage and packing information. This includes cost of sending the item, which is included in the selling price, and an option to allow the buyer to pick up the item.
5. Additional options
There are a lot of extras that can be added to the listing, but eBay charges to have these included. This includes additional photographs and themes for the page.
6. Posting the item
Once all the information about the item has been entered you will arrive upon a preview page, showing how the listing will look online. Check all the information very carefully before accepting and posting the listing onto eBay.
7. The sale
All bids and buyer questions will be sent to both your email account, and to the message box on eBay. Be sure to answer all questions as soon as possible to ensure a potential sale is not lost.
8. Payment
Both payment for the listing and payment after sale are done through Paypal. Alternatively the listing can be paid for on a credit or debit card, and the seller can come to an arrangement with the buyer.
