If I am not wrong the French were the first to develop the glass cloche or bell jar; back then they just wanted to protect their plants from frost and foul weather, but the idea of it has somehow expanded over the years and now we often use them as a food cover ! The young designers from Fabrica Studio and Galleria Secondo Me have created a series of beautiful food covers made from mouth blown glass and shaped like dainty animals, delicate and exquisite champagne cups or alien creatures from Mars! These nice and rather innovative food covers were presented at Fuorisalone in Milan just a few months ago.
