The fish that has apparently been terrorising swimmers at the idyllic Lake Maggiore has been caught and cooked, according to reports.
The beach that was affected by the fish was called “Tenero” or “Tender”, and the fish’s common name is Sandra (zander), but this is no love story.
Sandra weighed eight kilos and was 80 centimetres long, and was apparently particularly aggressive of late due to a hormonal imblance.

The fish had been attributed with attacking bathers on the Swiss side of the Lake and after avoiding nets, was recently hooked and barbecued.
