MotoGP Silverstone: Casey Stoner Finds it in another Crash Strewn Session – Updated

This morning’s MotoGP warm-up session at Silverstone saw Casey Stoner come out of his slump and take the top spot with a best lap of 2′04″711, closely followed by Jorge Lorenzo who is tipped to win this afternoon’s race, was just one tenth from the top spot.

Nicky Hayden has also a big improvement moving to third and he was just three tenths of a second from his Ducati team mate, while yesterday’s man on fire, Randy de Puniet finished the session in fourth.

Dani Pedrosa crashed out again at the Club corner, but was able to get up on his own feet, while Interwetten Honda’s Hiroshi Aoyama had a massive highside in the same spot where Pedrosa crashed.

Several sources are now reporting that he has been ruled out of the race, but at the moment we do not know what type of injuries the Japanese rider has suffered.
UPDATE:Aoyama has sustained contusions to his back and the Clinica Mobile has sent himto a hospital in Oxford for a scan.
More news when we have it.
