Just a couple of days ago we talked about the new 2013 Triumph Tiger Sport 1050, the revamped version of the model that the British manufacturer introduced at the recent Brussels Motor Show, and today we received a new bunch of official pictures starring the latest creation of the Hinckley-based house.
The Triumph Tiger Sport 1050 is the successor to the Triumph Tiger 1050 (which, in turn, replaced the glorious Tiger 955i in 2007), and the ‘Sport’ tag it gained in its name says a lot about the attitude of the new bike.
The new Tiger is almost completely renovated and boasts new aesthetics, more power (+10 hp), an heavily revised chassis and a shiny single-sided swingarm.
Its three cylinder engine can count on a new exhaust, a redisgned intake system and a revised fuel injection, which allows it to produce 125 hp and 104 Nm of peak torque.
As for the suspension, the new Tiger Sport uses a fully-adjustable 43 mm upside-down Showa fork with 140mm of travel and a Showa monoshock with adjustable preload and rebound damping and 150mm of travel.
Braking at the front comes from a pair of four-piston radial-mount calipers coulped with 320 mm discs at the front and a two-piston caliper mated to a 255 mm disc at the rear.
The 2013 Tiger Sport will be made available in two colour options, Crystal White and Diablo Red.
Fuel economy figures have not been released yet, though Triumph also claims a 7% increase in range.
Panniers got bigger too and can now hold up to 10 kg each.
As for the price, it will be announced in February, with the bike expected to hit the dealers in March/April 2013.
