The Montignano castle was originally built in 962 when Otto I, crowned king of Italy by Pope John XII, made his friend Arnolfo count of Montignano in the Umbria region ( in order to rule firmly, Otto needed loyal feudal lords).
Many centuries have passed since those faraway days and now the castle has been converted into a luxury hotel and spa where guests can relax and enjoy such amenities as a visit to the dungeon! For further information on offers and packages please click here.
