New Year resolutions for Italians: less is more for show girls, boob jobs and the prime minister

A list of new year resolutions for Italy about Italian show girls, breasts and the prime minister? Most countries wouldn’t normally make one at a national level but we think we can sum up a possible 2010 promise for Italy in one simple phrase: less is more.
We know, from living in Italy, that people overseas love Italians for their sometimes flamboyant nature, the weird quiz show programs on Italian television and the accompanying show girls, and anything from pasta to traffic jams.

But it can get tiring and utterly exaggerated when you think about the antics of Italy’s prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, or the constant parade of often mediocre, but half-dressed girls on Italian television screens.
So we’re making a list of examples where “less is more” should be the 2010 motto for Italy.
Here goes: Cristina del Basso and Italian boob jobs:We all know that about 80 percent of Italian show girls get their breasts enlarged.

Silicon is the friend of many a ’sexy’ Italian woman, but when you go from what was already apparently a ‘D’ cup, to an ‘F’, things are getting a little on the big side.

A good lesson for Italian women in 2010 would be: everything in small doses.
Ditto for colagen in lips.
Italian show girls:We see them every single night on our televisions, but we’re wondering if we couldn’t have less of the girls in a trade off for better quality girls.
The dancing and vamping attempts of Italy’s former Big Brother housemates (Cristina del Basso, Melita Toniolo and Francesca Fioretti) on Colorado Cafe is, in short, embarrassing.
And you can see the not-very-subtle coquettish behaviour in the video above.
We’ll show you more of the classic Veline in a post later, but when we mean quality and personality, that’s what we’re talking about.
Berlusconi and antics:Someone should tell Silvio that less is definitely more when it comes to being the prime minister of a country.
Apart from excessive solarium use, hair inplants and the like, Mr Berlusconi should avoid generating gossip about escort girls, orgies at his holiday house and 18-year-old birthday parties.
Feel free to nominate your own New Year resolutions for Italy.
Is there anything you’re just dying to add?
