As Italian director and filmmaking icon Bernardo Bertolucci will be honoured at the Cannes Film Festival with an Honorary Palme d’Or, Woody Allen’s Rome movie title has been revealed as The Wrong Picture.
The world renowned American director has stated his intention to hire some Italian actors alongside the all-star cast of Penelope Cruz, Alec Baldwin, Ellen Page and Jesse Eisenberg.

Filming should take place soon at the Cinecittà studios and on the streets of Rome, although details are scarce on the plot and theme of the movie.

Meanwhile, Penelope Cruz is in talks with Sergio Castellitto to appear in his next film Venuto al Mondo.
The Spanish actress has apparently joked that she will spend her time in Rome working on her Italian language skills, as well.
Perhaps Cinecittà will be saved after all?
