2010 has not been a very lucky year for Valentino Rossi.
On 5 June 2010 the Italian professional motorcycle racer and multiple MotoGP World Champion broke his right tibia.
It was diagnosed he was likely to be out for most of the seasona, but only 40 days later Valentino Rossi was back on his feet and ready to race again.

So the news that he was the recipent of Laureus World Sports Award 2011 Comeback did not come as a surprise at all!
