In an absolutely nail-biting finish, the Europe team has won the 2010 Ryder Cup in what was an emotional loss for the Americans who came within one point in the last match of the day.
Italian sports stars and golfers Francesco and Edoardo Molinari did their bit for the team, partnering over the weekend for a win before hacking it out in the singles today.

Francesco managed to pull off a birdie-birdie start against Tiger Woods before the world number one found some of his incredible previous form and pulled off a run of seven birdies and an eagle from holes 4 to 15 to finish a 5&3 win for the US.

The other half of the Molinari team, Edoardo, fared better against young talent Rickie Fowler, winning four holes from the 8th to the 12th.
They finished tied at the end before the Cup got down to the wire with Europe winning on the 17th hole of the last match.
The efforts of the Molinari brothers have produced speculation in Italy that one day the Ryder Cup might come to Italian shores.
