Italian festivals: Foligno hosts pasta festival

From the 25th to the 28th of September, Foligno, near Perugia in Umbria, will hold the Festival Nazionale dei Primi Piatti or the National Festival of First Courses.
In other words, we’re talking a pasta festival!Foligno’s historic centre has been divided into small “villages” each dedicated to various themes on Italian dishes, from fresh pasta, to regional dishes, rice, polenta, seafood and soup.

This is not only a chance to eat excellent pasta in large quantities, but there are also Italian cooking lessons available, meet the chef events and gastronomic film showings.
