Yesterday we wrote about travelling around Sicily in a vintage car, and today we’re going to check out a great initiative called Italy Bikes Hotel.
Italy is a great cycling nation, not because of the Giro d’Italia necessarily, but because across the country on Sundays in summer, you’re likely to collect a few cycling mascots on the front of your car if you don’t drive carefully.

From the moutains to the valleys and the lakes, Italians get out as individuals or in cycling groups to enjoy the beautiful landscape the country has to offer.

And more people every year are dedicating themselves to ‘cycle-tourism’ and the discovery of new and hidden itineraries.
And so the folks over at Italy Bikes Hotel have designed a website for just this kind of person.
On the site you can find all the facilities imagined for cycle-tourists who want to explore Italy, divided into regions (although unfortunately not all regions are yet completely covered) and viewable with Google Maps.

The hotels featured along these routes all have services dedicated to cyclists.
