A new grand hotel has just been established in Florence.
The old palazzo della Gherardesca , once belonging to one of the noblest families in Tuscany, has now been converted into a posh hotel featuring 79 bedrooms and an amazing park with a century-old trees.
The hotel looks like a royal palace featuring old majolica tiles, 18th Chinese wallpaper, precious frescoes and silver handles.
The price of the rooms will range from 500 to 13.
500 euros per night.
The hotel comprises: a restaurant boasting a list of more than 400 wines, wellness centre and swimming pool.
Four Seasons which owns the hotel is now planning to turn Palazzo Tornabuoni, another Renaissance palace, into a new residential hotel.
It should open next December.
