For 58 years now the small town of Riolo Terme in the Romagna region, has hosted what has now become a renowned grape festival; situated in the Parco della Vena del Gesso, the town of Riolo Terme has no rivals when it comes to fine wine.
This year from 17 September to 20 September tourists will be able to enjoy a splendid opportunity to discover the bucolic beauty and honesty of the old Romagna ( a land usually renowned for its fashion districts and trendy beaches) .
But the real climax of the festival will be on 18 September when tourists and locals will come together at a long table to enjoy delicious regional dishes such as the famous bean soup and litres of the most exquisite wine.
On the next day however (Sunday) visitors will have the unique opportunity to watch an educational and entertaining historical reconstruction of how peasants used to harvest their grapes in Autumn and then produce wine.
The whole event is a veritable feast for the taste buds, the senses and the imagination – don’t miss it!
