The Isola del Giglio or Giglio Island is a small island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the coast of Tuscany and only a few miles from the beautiful Argentario Gulf.
Its enchanted landscape, its blue-green sea and ragged coastline (which creates lots of coves and little bays) each summer attract thousands of tourists, especially young people who love to go surfing, pitch a tend somewhere in the wild and then go exploring the breathtaking underwater wonders of the island.
Campese, Giglio Porto and Giglio Castello are its major towns and if you love history and monument you must visit the famous fortress built by the Pisans on the island in the 12th century.
