Rome is preparing to host EuroPride 2011

The Mario Mieli association is organising the Europride 2011 which will take place in Rome next June.
Everything will revolve around the multiethnic Esquilino district where the much talked about Europride Park will be set up.
The event will be inaugurated with a gala night at the famous Sistina Theatre.
More than a million of people are expected to arrive in Rome to take part in this important event which will feature, among other things, art exhibitions at the palazzo dell’Esibizioni, plays at the Eliseo theatre and a series of concerts at the Brancaccio in the heart of Rome.

To help visitors,the Mieli association will soon open an infopoint in via San Giovanni in Laterano.
According to Mark Chapman, spokesman for Epoa, Rome has been chosen to host the Europride 2011 in the hope that this important event will convince the paliament to pass the promised law on civil partnerships.
