In this video, Ferrari president Luca de Montezemolo relates a very funny story of the first Ferrari he ever owned.
The yellow Ferrari 348, with the entrepreneur himself driving, got involved in a traffic light drag race with a young Italian hoon in a Volkswagen GT.
For the first 40 metres, the Volkswagen won, and the young driver recognised Montezemolo saying “This goes faster!”Later, at Montezemolo’s first meeting in Ferrari he asks to have the various technical specs of the Ferrari 348 presented to him (acceleration, power torque etc).

Montezemolo was quiet until the presentatio had finished and said, “Gentlemen you’re very unlucky, because I, unfortunately, am a customer of that piece of shit car.
” For a lesson in the charm and charisma of an Italian gentleman, you should take a look at the video to see how to tell an anecdote in a self-ironic, engaging way.
Very entertaining.
