This is a rather simple pasta recipe; it’s usually prepared on Fridays in Apulia when meat-based dishes are banned from the table for religious beliefs.
Ingredients: ½ kg bucatini pasta; 2 cloves garlic; breadcrumbs; 6 or 7 anchovies in oil; extra vergin oil; pepper and salt.
Method: in a non-stick pan toast the breadcrumb, then cook the pasta in salted water and brown the garlic in hot oil; at this point add the garlic, the chopped anchovies and cook for a couple of minutes.
Next drain the past, pour in the sauce and give it a stir for a few minutes.
Take it off the heat, add the pepper, if desired, and serve.
