Milan’s whisky festival is taking place this weekend, and while locally it would be more appropriate to try some Italian grappa, the whisky festival affords a nice opportunity to taste some of the world’s prize whiskies in the lovely city of Milan.
The whisky festival is open on Saturday from 2pm to 7:30pm and Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
It costs seven euros, which includes the free tasting glass.
The festival includes guided tastings, including the opportunity to taste a unique 1996 single barrell whisky from the Springbank Distellery.
The event also includes workshops, seminars and a trade fair involving over 40 exhibitors.
More than 70 distilleries will be at the Milan Whisky Festival, and collectors will also be there so you can get a closer look at their prized whisky and memorabilia collections, and possibly find a few missing pieces for your own collection.
For more details, including exhibitors, times and ticketing, see the Milano Whisky Festival site.
