This is not Italy’s biggest news of the century, but it’s curious enough to warrant a mention.
In Milan’s via Spallanzani a record of the biggest steak in the world has been made.
Achieved by Butchers for children”, the record is of a steak measuring 24.
8 square metres.
The street was completely filled with butchers’ stalls and Italian meat delicacies.
To take part and eat something, the cost was eight euros for a bracelet, with proceeds going to charity.
While we didn’t see the mega steak, there were plenty of other good Italian meat dishes to try.
