Just a few days ago I came across a very nice place called the Caffè Universale in via delle Coppelle not far from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona.
A warm and elegant café in the heart of Rome in which one can relax, have a cup of tea with scones or sip an exquisite cocktail away from the maddening crowd.
Their sweet pasties are simply divine and the wine list small but well-chosen and if you are in the mood you can always decide to have lunch or dinner as the case may be; the restaurant service is good and efficient.
I’m sure you will end up loving the place as I did; its quiet and sophisticated atmosphere a world apart from those loud, boisterous places so in vogue nowadays.
