From 23 to October 2009 the Mini car owners club in Rome will celebrate the 50th anniversary of this famous car built in England in 1959; the three day programme will include a meeting at the beautiful Villa Carpegna and a race at the racing circuit in Vallelunga.
But the chief attraction of this three-day celebration will probably be the big parade on Sunday when all cars ( 200 to be precise), escorted by the Police, will drive through Rome’s historic centre and gather at the famous Circus Maximum where Gianni Alemanno, mayor of Rome, will be waiting for the final celebrations.
