Summer in Italy: Brighisella festival

Every year the summer brings along an abundance of festivals here in Italy and with all those fairs and festivals for food, music and more you and your family are almost guaranteed an event to go to every weekend! Some are funnier than others I agree but the one which will take place at Brisighella in the Lamone Valley up in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine next July is quite particular and deserve all your attention, especially if you are in love; dedicated to couples who want to spend a romantic evening away from the maddening crowd, the Brisighella Romantica festival will take you on an unforgettable tour of the most romantic spots in town from the famous Belvedere to the enchanting herb garden releasing great skeins of scent into the air.

The programme includes a candlelit dinner alfresco and a spectacular show during which thousands of paper lanterns will be released into the sky.
Can you think of anything more romantic?
