If you want to visit a classic beach in Italy, get yourself to San Benedetto del Tronto in the Marche region of Italy.
On the Adriatic coast, the beach has all the hallmarks of traditional Italian beach holidays with hundreds of beach umbrellas for hire and a “lungospiaggia” dotted with palm trees.

The beach is also called the “Riviera delle Palme” and is home to markets and events during summer.

Recently it hosted the famous journalist and author of “Gambero Rozzo“, Carlo Cambi for a gastronomic event celebrating local food.
It’s a place where you can spot some of the many lovely boats that tour the Mediterranean in summer, and where you can explore a beach destination in Italy without too many foreign tourists changing your experience of the local culture.
