Italian recipes for fish-based dishes: cuttlefish, peppers, and potatoes

Eating seafood dishes is definitely suggested when you visit small beach towns or travel in coastal areas.
Every year during summer break, I love to go eat at Punta Secca, a small village that has a lighthouse as its namesake.

I can’t make any restaurant suggestions, because I actually go there as a guest of a family friend, the wife of a fisherman.

Her best dish is cuttlefish, and she prepares it in a wide variety of ways.
To make this dish you will need: 1 kg (2.

2 lbs) of cuttlefish, 500 grams (1.
1 lbs) of potatoes, 3 peppers, 1 small bunch of parsley, 1 onion, 1 clove of garlic, 1 lemon, salt and crushed red pepper.
Boil the cleaned cuttle fish in salted water for about 20 minutes.
In the meanwhile, cut the potatoes into small cubes, flavor them with the minced onion, and then cook them at 180°C (350°F).
Cut the peppers into rectangular pieces, after having taken the seeds out, and add them to the potatoes when the potatoes are cooked about halfway.
Add the cuttlefish and put everything back in the oven until the potatoes have been cooked completely.

Mince the garlic and place it in a small bowl.
Cover it with olive oil, lemon juice, minced parsley, and the crushed red pepper.
Serve hot, after dressing it with the garlic-oil seasoning.
