If you’re looking for a nature trail in the Perugia area of Umbria, you could try a visit to the Parco del Sole at Collazzone, which is only a few kilometres from Perugia.
If you’re looking for Umbria tours with a difference, the park provides excellent appreciation of the Umbrian countryside, following the Puglia torrent, amonst woods and lakes, while housing more than 300 species of different animals, some of which are endangered species.
Animals include the four-horned goat, the albino donkey, the yellow ferret, barn owls, Tibetan dwarf goats and the raccoon among others.
The park is open to spend an entire day, with tables, benches and barbecues, a football pitch and volley ball court.
The park closes soon, on November 5, but reopens on February 15 from 9am to 8pm, with entrance at eight euros for adults and six euros for children.
