Rome: House of Vestal Virgins reopens after 20 years

Located at the foot of the Palatine Hill and on the eastern verge of the Roman Forum, the house of the vestal Virgins in Rome has been restored to its pristine beauty at last; after a twenty-year long restoration, this sacred area dedicated to Vesta, the virgin goddess of the hearth, home, and family in Roman religion ,looks as it used to look in ancient times; the restorers have also succeeded in bringing back the original vegetation which surrounded the house and its beautiful statues.

So tourists will be glad to know that they can now walk down the Vita nova path and reach the Atrium Vestae where they can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Roman Forum.
