What happened to the soccer: Baseball 2009 in Rome

The great national sport of soccer in Italy will have to make way for the world baseball championships come 2009 when Rome will host the finals, planned for the 7th to the 27th of September.
The competition will originally start in seven countries, including Germany, France, Spain, Russia and Sweden.
The best 16 nations will take part in the second phase of the tournament which will take place in Italy and the Netherlands; from the quarter finals on the games will take place exclusively in Rome, where the title will be bestowed.
